Care Instructions

General Care:

Always read the care label on your garment before washing.
Turn outfits inside out to minimize wear on embellishments and detailed stitching.
Use a mesh laundry bag for particularly delicate items.

  1. Washing:

Preferably, hand wash delicate fabrics like chiffon, silk, and items with heavy embroidery or sequins.
For cotton and linens, a gentle machine wash in cold water is acceptable.
Always use a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach unless the clothing is pure white.
Do not wring clothes; it can damage the fabric and embroidery.

  1. Drying:

Line dry in shade. Direct sunlight can cause colors to fade, especially on brighter or darker shades.
Avoid using a tumble dryer for fabrics like silk, chiffon, or garments with embellishments.
Lay heavy garments flat to dry to maintain their shape.

  1. Ironing:

Always iron on the reverse side of the garment to prevent damage to embellishments or prints.
Use a low to medium setting. For delicate fabrics like silk or chiffon, consider using a cloth between the garment and the iron.
Do not spray water directly on silk or outfits with zari (metallic thread) as it might leave water marks or cause tarnishing.

  1. Storing:

Store garments in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep heavier embroidered and embellished pieces flat or folded with tissue paper to maintain their shape and prevent snags.
Using garment covers or cloth bags can help prevent dust and maintain fabric quality.

  1. Dry Cleaning:

Outfits made of luxury fabrics, heavy embellishments, or detailed embroidery are best dry-cleaned. Inform the dry cleaner about any specific care or concerns regarding the garment.

  1. Perfumes and Sprays:

Always apply perfumes, deodorants, and other sprays before wearing your outfit. Chemicals in these products can stain or discolor fabrics.
Remember, the longevity and appearance of your Pakistani clothing largely depend on how you care for it. Proper maintenance can keep them looking new and prolong their lifespan.
